Napping Again

Continuing yesterday's topic, Saké surprised us yet again with her choice of napping location. After a night of tremendous noise and banging, we woke up to discover that Saké had removed the towel lining the bottom floor of the cage. It must have taken her quite some effort to get the towel out from under everything. She then moved the towel to the upper floor, building herself quite the comfortable place to lounge.

Sadly, this left poor Sushi, who prefers the lower level of the cage, with little comfort.

An Odd Place to Nap

Why yes, that is Saké nesting in the litter tray. Note all the litter which has been removed from the tray, making room for her towel.

Rearranging

The other day Saké was busy rearranging the first floor of the cage.

As part of this, she flipped over their wine box and balanced it on a block. It didn't seem to matter that Sushi was in the box when she moved it.

Fortunately Sushi is used to her sister's antics and didn't seem to mind.

Renovations

The girls have been very active lately with moving things around in their cage. We strip everything out every two days and put in fresh litter, bedding, etc. Their cage often becomes a complete disaster in the time between cleanings. We've talked in this previous posts about their fort building and how often they move things between floors. However, this week there was a new one.

Yesterday morning I woke up to discover they had moved their litter tray from the corner of their cage to the middle. This morning I woke up to find the litter tray back in the corner where it belonged. Maybe they had to live with it for a bit to see if they liked it in the new spot?
