Sleepy Sushi

I woke Sushi up the other day to give her a bit of banana. It was one of those things where if  I didn't wake her up, she wasn't going to get any at all because of the timing. Because she is limited in what she can eat, whenever I have something soft enough that she might enjoy, I try to make sure she gets some.

Despite being sleepy, she definitely was interested in the banana. The resulting photos show her with pretty crusty eyes, which is a sure sign that she just woke up.

Sleeping

When I first saw Sushi sleeping the other day, I thought she was dead. She was in such an unlikely location that I couldn't imagine her choosing it as a spot to nap.

One eye open 

Before grabbing the camera I poked her (and ended up waking her up) to make sure she was still alive.

Awake but sleepy

Panning out, you can see that someone else chose a more comfortable lounging location.

Saké

Sleepy Saké

Saké is a very sleepy rat. It's fun to watch her try to keep her eyes squeezed shut when Sushi is awake and running around.

One eye open...

When you wake her up, she moves very slowly.

Saké assesses her options.

Then about 90 seconds later....

Back to sleep!
