(I love these pictures because we can always tell when Sushi has really recovered from being sick - she always starts spending a ton of time in her tube.)

We're Back!

Saké

I think Saké is in desperate need of some quality time. We haven't had a lot of free time lately, yet it's easy to get Sushi out on a regular basis. She is happy to get held and it is easy to grab her out of the cage and tote her around the house while I do other things. On the other hand, Saké hates to be held and really only wants attention if you're going to pet her in the cage or hold her quietly outside. She especially likes to just lay next to me while I read if I pet her lightly. She certainly doesn't want to tour the house on a regular basis like her sister does.

As a result, she spends far too much time inside her cage these days. I'm hoping to rectify that tonight and spend a couple of hours reading while she sacks out asleep next to me.

Sushi might be tiny but she is far more adventurous than her sister. I love how purposeful she looks in this picture:

I always feel like Saké has something up her sleeve but in Sushi's case, I think she really just wants to see the world.

I woke up late the other morning to see Sushi also barely awake. Her eyes are always crusty when she wakes up, which I assume has something to do with the multitude of issues in her mouth and skull.

MSU Fan #1?

Sadly, the Spartans lost this weekend's Big Ten championship game against Wisconsin. Instead of heading to California to play with the roses, they will head to Florida to play in the Outback Bowl on January 2.

Saké spends a lot of time trying to hide. She lures in the cats and then when someone comes in for a closer look, she jumps out at them.

Obviously I think Saké and Sushi are adorable. But I really love how distinct they are from each other, despite being litter mates.

Saké's head is substantially wider than Sushi's.

Her head is also longer.

Even Sushi's tail is small in comparison.
